The Abrahamic Foundation was established in 2009 to serve the diverse needs of the Muslim community. It was founded by a group of scholars, teachers and other professional members of the community.
2010 – Official Registration
The Abrahamic Foundation is registered as a charity and company
2011 – First Building
We move into our first rented building on Grove Lane, Smethwick. Community and educational activities kick-off.
2012 – Hear Me Out!
The Hear Me Out Youth Project is launched
2013 – Second Building
We purchase and move into 215 High Street – our current premises.
AFIAH, Abrahamic Foundation Islamic Advisory Hub launched
The Lighthouse Madrasah is established
The Learning Base Tuition Centre launches from our premises
2014 – Prayers start
We begin Friday prayers and Ramadan tarawih after building works completed. We also had a few other notable milestones this year:
First Abrahamic Foundation Hajj group consisting of 17 pilgrims departs
First Abrahamic Foundation Umrah group departs
2015 – Community Outreach
2015, The Abrahamic Foundation Community Outreach is formalised
2019 – Important Hire
Employment of first Centre Manager and Office Administrator
2020 – Year of COVID-19
COVID-19 moves us to digitalise and develop our services for an online presence. We also formalised our Adult Courses, and the Birmingham Muslim College is established.
2021 – Refreshed Online Presence
The Abrahamic Foundation new website and logo is launched.
We also kick off a campaign to find and fund a new venue due to no growth capacity in current premises
2023 – Abrahamic Foundation purchase neighbouring building and land
